My son has seen tremendous progress when working with the PT’s at Starfish.

They know just how to motivate him (from his early grade school days to his current tween attitude) to push and reach that next milestone all while smiling. And the expertise and equipment they have is just not available anywhere else!! We drive an hour plus in traffic just to get to this fabulous location on the bay. Thanks Stacy and team for your loving care and encouragement for my son to reach whatever heights he can!”

Pediatric Physical therapists perform evaluations, plan and implement treatment strategies and developmentally appropriate activities, identify appropriate assistive devices and durable medical equipment, and create solutions for barriers that limit interaction with their environment and peers in family-, learning-, and community-based activities.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy

The ultimate goal of an Occupational Therapist is to increase independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL). In doing so, the therapist addresses a broad number of challenges, including social-emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and adaptive behavior challenges. Pediatric occupational therapy services, more specifically, focus on addressing feeding skills, perceptual and sensory processing, fine motor development, environmental exploration, play skills, and psychosocial skills.

Pediatric occupational therapists perform evaluations, plan and implement treatment strategies and developmentally appropriate activities, decrease environmental barriers that limit participation in family, learning, and community based activities, and identify appropriate assistive technology.
For further information regarding occupational therapy, please visit the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) website. AOTA is the professional organization for occupational therapists.

What Clients Are Saying

We are grateful for all of the time/effort/sweat Stacy puts in for our son!
“We have been so happy with our experience with Stacy. She is a skilled therapist who is so open to all of our questions and ideas. We have worked with a number of different therapists over time, and Stacy has truly been the best therapist for our son! We have also done physical therapy intensives with different clinics across the country, and found our intensive with Starfish to be the most useful and most tailored to what our son needs (not just a cookie cutter formula). We are grateful for all of the time/effort/sweat Stacy puts in for our son!”
