Stacy, Starfish Therapies’ founder, is a Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist, and graduated from Boston University with both her Masters of Physical Therapy and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Since graduating with her masters degree, Stacy has worked in a wide variety of settings nationwide, including early intervention, school based settings, hospitals, private clinics and home care.
Stacy has extensive experience with multiple diagnoses, including but not limited to: cerebral palsy, Rett Syndrome, Down Syndrome, developmental delay, autism and autism spectrum disorders, muscular dystrophy, medically fragile, hypotonia, Triple-X Syndrome and Angelman Syndrome. She is trained in the use of TheraTogs as well as the TheraSuit Method and the use of Intensive Pediatric Physical Therapy. Stacy is able to train families in the use of the TheraSuit and the Universal Exercise Unit.
She also has experience and training in aquatic therapy and has begun training in the Masgutova Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration (MNRI) Method. In addition to her clinical experience, Stacy has served as a teaching assistant for a wide variety of classes in Boston University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. Stacy is a member of the APTA and is an APTA certified clinical instructor.
She is enthusiastic about children and prides herself on being able to make a difference in the lives of her patients and their families.
