Course Description:
This basic level course provides therapists with information regarding the evidence for evaluating and treating adults with cerebral palsy. This course will provide current information for working with this underserved population. In addition it provides resources for supporting patients with cerebral palsy as they age and transition to adult based services.

Objectives
Course participants will:
- Identify three commonly used interventions and at least one long term implication.
- Describe the core elements of a comprehensive evaluation based on research.
- Be able to implement two evidence based interventions into the next treatment session.
Agenda
- Introduction and background on Cerebral palsy (20 minutes)
- Evidence based evaluation for adults with cerebral palsy (30 minutes)
- Evidence based interventions for adjults with cerebral palsy (30 minutes)
- Conclusion and questions (10 minutes)
Instructor(s):
Stacy Menz, PT, DPT, PCS is a pediatric clinical specialist and the owner of Starfish Therapies. Stacy received her masters degree at Boston University in 2000 and her doctorate of physical therapy at Boston University in 2005. She was previously a teaching assistant for Boston University’s online doctorate of physical therapy program and has beem adjunct faculty for South College, Baylor University, and Bowling Green State University’s pediatric physical therapy classes. She has presented at the APTA Private Practice Section (PPS) annual conference. Her professional involvement includes the treasurer of the CPTA PedSIG as well as being the past editorial board of Impact for the PPS.
