Laura graduated from Brown University with her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering before going on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. She has clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care and pediatrics.
She has always been inclined towards pediatrics and while at URI was part of a team that organized the Full Swing Event designed for children with physical disabilities to learn golf and build self confidence. She has also served as a teaching assistant for the biomechanics and neuroanatomy courses while a student at URI.
In addition to these leadership projects, as a part of her Biomedical Engineering degree, Laura has been an integral member of research projects addressing concussion risk in youth lacrosse players and the design of play toy controllers for pediatric patients with excessive tone.
Laura loves making a difference in the lives of children and is dedicated to doing the most she can to help her patients and their families meet their goals.
