Katie is a Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Exercise Physiology and then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of the Pacific. Katie has experience in a variety of pediatric physical therapy settings including, early intervention, schools, outpatient, acute care, and acute rehabilitation.
She has an enthusiasm and passion for working with children, and has experience with many diagnoses, including but not limited to: developmental delay, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, cerebral palsy, medically fragile, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, and hypotonia. This has led her to choose a career in which she can further pursue her passion as well as expand her professional skills as a pediatric therapist. Katie is trained and certified in the application and use of TheraTogs to manage musculoskeletal and neuromuscular impairments in children with various diagnoses. She also has experience using the Universal Exercise Unit.
Katie is dedicated to the success of her patients and is committed to a lifelong learning process in the world of pediatric physical therapy.
